Project: "The experience of the EU integration of the V4 for post-Soviet integration associations"


 

The project focuses on the issues and benefits related to countries in the framework of globalization and economic integration.

Academic knowledge related to the numerous issues of integration processes is delivered through theoretical, practical, country, regional and case studies. Challenges imposed by the current crisis and EU enlargement and neighborhood will be discussed.

Finally, the experiences of joining the integration associations, preferably for such post-soviet countries in transition as Belarus, Ukraine, etc. are presented and discussed. Issues of the alternative integration processes will be discussed as well.

The course should provide economic, legal, financial and policy understanding of broad horizons for integration processes for the post-soviet countries.

The schedule of the course will be divided into the two blocks. The first block during the first semester in Belarusian State University, Minsk, Belarus, will be devoted to the experience of EU countries. The second block during the second semester will be devoted to the integration processes at post-soviet space.

Both blocks divided into the 4-5 panels with theoretical background, practical issues, case studies, panel discussions, group presentations and roundtables, etc.

The original project idea is consist of comparison the theoretical background about integration processes issues with real economic situation. This goal will be achieved through the combination of lecturers, seminars and practical-oriented round tables and panel discussions which should demonstrate to the participants the real conditions and real difficulties in the process of integration in EU.

THERE ARE MAIN TASKS OF THE DISCIPLINE LEARNING:

1. to deliver the new approach of contemporary integration processes and its influence on country development;

2. to implement a multidisciplinary vision for contemporary integration processes including historical background for the formation of integration association, split-level of economic development of each participant inside integration association, omni directional of interests, as well as cultural diversity, etc.

3. to form an adequate understanding of complex system for contemporary integration processes and the effective way of cooperation for each country inside

As the result of the course learning students have to know:

- the background of contemporary integration processes;

- the most important principles of integration associations’ running;

- modern directions of cooperation inside contemporary integration associations;

- legislation instruments of the integration associations’ running;

- advantages and disadvantages of the contemporary integration processes;

- new tendencies of the contemporary integration processes;

- the perspectives of the integration associations’ enlargements

Students have to be able to:

- operate on key issues of contemporary integration processes;

- estimate the effectiveness of contemporary integration processes;

- analyze the existing directions of cooperation inside contemporary integration processes;

- analyze modern directions of cooperation inside contemporary integration associations;

- compare advantages and disadvantages of the contemporary integration processes for split-level of economic development of each participant inside integration association;

- use new tendencies of the contemporary integration processes for research more effective for country economical development;

- suggest the most preferable fields for cooperation between countries;

- prepare the information and disseminate the ideas of the most effective way for country economical development.
