Two Belarusian HEIs, Ilia State University of Georgia and Finnish partner Aleksanteri Institute of University of Helsinki took part in the meeting. Two staff members from Aleksanteri Institute visited Minsk and Grodno during this two-day event. Georgian partners from Ilia State University joined the meeting via skype.

During the stay in Minsk Finnish and Grodno partners met BSU Vice-Rector Michael Zhuravkov, discussed BASERCAN results and outcomes of project activities, overviewed final project reporting and evaluation. To provide feedback on the project the meeting was attended by BSU students and teachers who visited Helsinki University under the project. Participants shared their experience of stay in Helsinki and outlined the results of their exchanges during round-table discussion with Finnish partners.

Note: BASERCAN is a project funded by CIMO (Finnish Center for Mobility and International Cooperation under NORTH–SOUTH–SOUTH Higher Education Institution Network Programme linking 4 Belarusian, Georgian and Finnish HEIs for students and teachers mobility through the partners. Since 2012 2 BSU students and 2 BSU teachers visited Helsinki University under the project. 2 students from Helsinki attended courses at BSU Faculty of International Relations and Faculty of Humanities during their exchange visit to BSU under the project. BSU also hosted 2 teachers from Helsinki University who delivered short courses for BSU students from Law Faculty and Institute of Journalism. In autumn 2013 4 students and teachers from BSU attended Intensive Course in Tbilisi “Between East and West: Conflict and Co-operation in the Eastern Neighborhood”.

The second part of the meeting was hosted by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Participants from YKSUG delivered presentations on their experience in Helsinki, the administrative part of the meeting was devoted to future activities and cooperation under CIMO funding, since for successful implementation BASERCAN project will be continued with its successor BASERCAN+ recently approved for funding by CIMO.
