Scientific Activity

The Faculty of Biology was founded in 1931. On the Faculty’s premises there is a Zoo, a Rudimentary Herbarium, and Botanical Gardens. There is also a biological Station at the Lake Naroch, which is used for both scientific investigations and academic purposes. There are 7 Departments and 7 Scientific-Research Laboratories. The newspaper Vita is published regularly at the Faculty. There is also a Biology Theater, which is very popular with both students and teachers alike.

Staff:    17 professors, 40 associate professors, 56 post-graduates and 1800 students

Faculty offers programs of study leading to the Diploma of Higher Education, Master Degree, PhD Degree.
